How do inmates get home after being released from jail?
Once an inmate is released from jail, there are a few ways they can get home. An inmate can arrange for someone to pick them up or pay their bus fare. If an inmate is unable to secure outside assistance, they may receive some help in getting to a bus station or arriving at their transitional facility. To pick up an inmate being released from jail, the correctional facility may require the make model and year of the vehicle, and proof of insurance ahead of time.
